Shame, guilt, anxiety...our emotions can feel overwhelming and seem to take pieces of us away. The pressure that others put on us or the views of society can be a tough journey to take on our own. Sometimes, we just need someone to talk to, someone we can be ourselves with and have no fear of burdening someone else with our experiences.

I approach my clients with a person-centred approach with no judgement, as we are all human and mistakes are normal, we are all trying to figure out how to live our best life. I aim my practice at providing an atmosphere that has a mutual relationship and can feel as though you are talking to a friend in a professional setting. I focus on building that safe and trusting relationship, where you can feel confident in your vulnerability. If you would like a holistic healing approach, I focus on the mental, physical, social, and spiritual parts of your journey. We will explore all the different ways we can work towards building your inner self.

My life experiences do influence some of my practice, as this helps me achieve a compassionate, unbiased, and accepting approach towards my relationships with my clients. As a person who is white-passing and identifies as First Nation, I understand how difficult it can be finding a sense of belonging. I was raised Catholic, attending church was something I thoroughly enjoyed as a child and lost touch with it as I got older. Only in recent years have I started to reconnect to my spirituality. This experience helps me understand how easy growth can lead us on many different journeys. No matter what you are experiencing, together we will develop therapeutic goals that best suit your values and beliefs.

Regardless of your background, beliefs, and experiences, I welcome you to reach out and schedule a free telephone consultation. This helps me understand what you are looking for in therapy, your current situation, get an idea of who you are and answer any questions you might have.
