Get to Know Georgios

In times of struggle or uncertainty, it can be hard to see a way forward. Our perspective gets clouded by negative thoughts, leading to feelings of confusion, isolation, and helplessness. When walking through these experiences, I know how challenging it can be to take proactive steps toward healing and growth.

Prior to being a Psychotherapist, I spent most of my time supporting children and youth with autism and their families and regularly participating in men’s health programs, such as Movember. As men are often encouraged to do in our society, I prioritized my physical health but ignored my mental health. This pattern not only left me feeling emotionally drained but also hindered my own growth and self-understanding. I felt alone in my anxiety, tired from the negative thoughts, and a lack of connection to those around me. I had spent my life putting the needs of others before my own, often overlooking my feelings and emotions in the process.

I started attending therapy in my 20s and experienced a shift in my perspective: mental health is just as important as physical health! Through my mental health journey, I’ve learned that true growth and healing come from embracing vulnerability and prioritizing my own well-being. It’s this understanding that inspires me to help others navigate their own paths toward self-acceptance and understanding.

In therapy, I aim to create a safe and judgement-free environment for men, and all adults, to explore their emotional world. Starting your journey to self-understanding, growth, and perspective shifts can feel overwhelming, but it does not need to be done alone. I believe in working together in partnership, using aspects from a variety of therapeutic approaches, and taking advantage of the skills and strengths that you already have.  It’s important that you find a therapist that is a good fit for what you need. I encourage you to book a free consultation to discuss any questions that you may have. Together, we can navigate your path toward healing and personal growth.
